Exploring Film Language

Films are characterized by plural possibilities of expression such as music, colors, images, elements of theater, abstracts of literature et. al., which is only typical for the motion picture. It addresses the spectator as a kind of total work of art. Solely with a certain choice of image sequence, it can inspire to philosophize  or can be used for propagandistic purposes.

Depending on the background of the filmmaker and the pursued aim as well as the applied cinematic technique, the language of the moving pictures - the film-language - similar to the spoken language, has its owe characteristic and meaning.

As a film expert and ethnologist I offer in my events:

  • to explore the medium of film language
  • to discover the diversity of this medium
  • a better understanding of other cultures
    and forms of expression
  • to see through image information
